    What we do

    The main functions of the Mine Surveying Directorate of the Department of Minerals and Energy are to:

    Who we are

    The Directorate Mine Surveying is divided into four sections, namely Western Section, Central Section, Eastern Section as well the Mapping and Archives section.

    The Director: Mine Surveying can be contacted on (012) 317-8116.

    Western Section
    The Western Section covers the Western Cape, Northern Cape and North West Regions. The Senior Inspector can be contacted on (012) 317-8018 / e-mail.

    Central Section
    The Central Section covers the Free State, Eastern Cape and Gauteng Regions. The Senior Inspector can be contacted on (012) 317-8420 / e-mail.

    Eastern Section
    The Eastern Section covers the Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga Regions. The Senior Inspector can be contacted on (012) 317-8423 / e-mail.
