The South African Designated National Authority (DNA) for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) invites all CDM stakeholders and interested parties to participate in CDM Promotion and Capacity Building workshops.

These will be held in the following areas:

The objectives of the workshops are to introduce you to Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), global warming phenomenon and to promote potential CDM activities.

Jul - Sep 2006 News Bulletin

The United Nations Climate Change Secretariat announced, on the 9th June 2006, that CDM had reached an important threshold of 1 billion tonnes of emissions reductions before the end of 2012

November 2005 News Bulletin

From 28 November to 9 December 2005, Canada will host the first meeting of the Parties (MOP1) to the Kyoto Protocol in Montreal in conjunction with the 11th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP11) to the Climate Change Convention.

October 2005 News Bulletin

The departments of Environment Affairs and Tourism, Science and Technology and Minerals and Energy will be holding the National Climate Change Conference at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Gauteng Province, from 17 to 20 October 2005. The DNA office will be exhibiting the CDM activities, including CDM projects' profile. CDM stakeholders are welcome to attend this event to get more information about the DNA office's function. CDM projects' profile, sectors for potential CDM projects in South Africa and other issues.
